Welcome to Term 2! In church, the grown ups are learning from the very first book of the Bible – Genesis – and so are we!

Listening to the Bible

Read

The CEV version is probably the most accessible for children, if they are able to read for themselves. You can find it online here.

TALK

Make sure you discuss these questions with a family member!

  1. What had God told the people to do? Look at Genesis 9:7 in your bible.
  2. What did the people do?
  3. Why did they want to build a tower?
  4. What did God do?
  5. Where did the people go?
  6. Why?

Helping it stick

Memory Verse

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

Romans 3:23

ACTIVITY:

  1. Why don’t you have a go at building your own tower. You can use Duplo or Lego. Paper cups or marshmallows and toothpicks. Cardboard boxes, whatever you have at home. See how tall you can get it but notice that at some point, the tower will fall.
  2. See if you can learn how to say hello in a different language.
